Martha E. Nicholson is a special needs educator in the field of Learning Disabilities. Ly Nguyen was raised in San Francisco and currently lives in Oakland, California. She is the founding co-director of Oasis, a young women’s art and leadership center in San Francisco. Her work has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, Defining Her Self Online Publication, and Seawood Soup Asian American journal. Her writing ranges from short stories to personal memoirs of the Vietnamese American experience. Diane Novinski is a widowed mother of 2 who has written several inspirational stories after experiencing the sadness and pain of losing her husband, Ben, to cancer. She is dedicated to raising two happy, healthy children, who have emerged whole and sound from the tragedy of a death of a parent during their childhood. Marianna Nunes was a keynote speaker who captivated, motivated and educated her audience nationwide. She offered programs to Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, universities and churches in the areas of humor, leadership and sales training. At the lowest point in her life, she was diagnosed with cancer. Through a long process of raising her self-esteem and using laughter as a healing source, she succeded in rebuilding her life. Kathleen Pimentel is a retired high school French teacher married to a retired university German professor.
